These courses are tailor-made to suit the needs of a group sharing similar interests. On application we will find out your areas of interest and design a course around them. Course price depends on the number of participants and their specific requests.
English for Academic Purposes
This programme is for students going on to higher education in the UK, who may have already achieved the correct level but who want to further develop their skills. The courses focuses on key academic skill such as note taking, essay writing, academic research and presentations. All participants must have a minimum level of IELTS 5.5 / FCE / B2.
Available for IELTS, TOEIC, TOEFL, Trinity graded exams in spoke English (GESE) and all Cambridge exams.
This course focuses solely on exam techniques and includes a full mock exam. Students wishing to take the exam in the UK should contact us for dates.
Vocational and Buisness programme
This is a course for colleagues working in the same field and is designed to meet theirs specific needs.
The course focuses on language relating to their field of study and can include visits to local companies.
Past programmes include: English for the aviation industry, for travel and tourism; hotel and catering;
engineering; health and social care; advertising and marketing.
English and Culture programme
For those with a special interest in British culture, current affairs, History, Literature and Art. Classes are skills based and incorporate language development through discussion and visits to local places of interest. Course participants should have a similar level of English, minimum B1 (Intermediate).

A skills based conversation course, combining language classes with cultural visits and trips.
This is ideal for those who want to improve their English while discovering the beautiful South West region. Programmes can include excursions to Cornwall, Bristol, Plymouth and Bath as well as pub evening, wine tasting, theatre visits and cookery classes.
