Educational Groups Explained

We have been running courses for young people since 1978 and over the years have built up an expertise in providing tailor made language courses to suit all ages and abilities. All our educational group programmes are closed group (meaning students are not mixed in class with other students) and can therefore be tailored to meet the specific needs of the group.

We are open all year round so our teachers are highly experienced in working with young people. Many have also had experience of the State sector in Britain and abroad. They are highly qualified, attend regular training to update their skills and are committed to the education of young people.

We work with International schools, Bilingual schools, Vocational schools, Language schools, Special schools for students with learning difficulties as well as countless ordinary Primary and Secondary schools, Colleges and Universities from around the world.

We take pride in our understanding of how students learn and how to motivate and encourage them to make the most of their stay in England. Please have a look at what we can offer your students:

Educational group courses have been designed for groups of students of a similar age and level of English.

Curriculum Courses - these combine General English with a topics chosen by the students' school teachers. The topics often link to the students' curriculum in their own school. Some of the topics include History, Environment, Culture and Myths and Legends amongst others.

Discovery - this course consists of 15 hours of General English + an afternoon activity programme, accompanied by the Globe staff. Various topics such as life in Britain, traditions and festivals, local legends, survival English etc are incorporated into the course to suit the students' interests and the time of year.

Explorer - this course is designed for our youngest students and consists of 15 hours of General English + an afternoon activity programme and 2 evening activities. The course encourages the students to learn through play-based tasks.

Future Careers - this course combines General English and Business English in the students' specialist area. Instead of an afternoon activity programme, students will have a series of work related visits and talks in their specialist area.

Examination Programme - during the academic year (September to June), we offer group examination programmes for all Cambridge exams (KET, PET, FCE, CAE and CPE) as well as TOEIC, IELTS and Trinity Speaking and Listening exams.

Work Trial - An opportunity for your students to enjoy life in Great Britain and gain work experience in a local business.

Please contact us on groups@globeenglish.co.uk if you would like advice on which programme would suit your students best - the Globe team will be happy to help.
